The game between closely ranked teams ended with second rankedIndios ' (6-6) road victory over 3rd placed Caneros (7-5) 89-71 on Sunday. Indios looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 16 rebounds. Naturalized American forward Edgar Sosa (189-1988, college: Louisville) helped adding 28 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field). American power forward Torren Jones (206-1994, college: William Penn) responded with 14 points and 8 rebounds and Eusebio Suero scored 11 points. Four Indios and five Caneros players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Indios went down to third position due to points difference. Loser Caneros dropped to the second place with five games lost.
